today I went the Buxton Field Club walk. We crossed fields then down into Beresford Dale. Here is a choice of crossings, footbridge stepping stones and ford. I was encouraged by one of the members to cross the stepping stones, so did, a lot of the others stood on the bridge watching me. Some of the stones were quite a way apart but I negotiated them safely. There was an Ice cream van nearby so Stan who had urged me to cross the stones treated me to one.
@jan11@happysnaps@elmay Thank you all for your comments, It was a bit intimidating having other members watching me and offering advice. I had to get my balance right to step across the larger gaps, the water wasn't very deep but I did not want to slip in and having to complete the walk in wet shoes
