@gilbertwood@craig3f2@ianjb21@happysnaps@jan11 Thank you all for your comments, this is small stretch of the disused Grantham canal. behind me a wall cuts it off from the lock linking it with the Trent; to the right is Nottingham Forrest football stadium; to the left offices and a trading estate and just round the bend the canal is cut off again by a busy road. So not as rural as it seems but It is surprisingly peaceful
