Flooded Path Ironmongers Pond by oldjosh

Flooded Path Ironmongers Pond

The path round the pond is flooded in places. the pond is connected to the river Trent where the water level has risen due to all the rain. The heron seemed unperturbed by the couple and me being so close to it. The couple who I have met twice before are watching minnows swimming in the water on the path
More torrential rain on the way home in the tram, but again it had stopped by the time we reached Basford.
I really like this image!! Fav'd

Beautiful shot Margaret and I just LOVE the reflections, particularly of the heron. How amazing that he didn't move.

@susiemc Thank you Sue I was amazed that it did not fly away, probably because none of us made any sudden movements, it did eventfully fly off
