King John's Palace by oldjosh

King John's Palace

For over 200 years the palace was the main royal residence in the area, ideally situated at the heart of Sherwood Forest only a day’s ride from Nottingham Castle. The 8 Plantagenet kings from Henry II to Richard II used the palace. From here the kings would go hunting in the Forest. Here also Robin Hood would poach deer and received a pardon from the king.
how interesting, would love to visit here!
