That's an absolutely brilliant capture Margaret. It's not a damselfly though, it's a dragonfly. Damselflies fold their wings back when they settle and they're much smaller than dragonflies.I think this is a darter or a skimmer of some kind but I can't quite tell from this angle. It's magnificent though.
