From the Marie Zimmerman House garden- Egyptian art and statuary was quite popular in the era when this house was built. Marie was also a world traveler and you can see that in the things she collected.

@randystreat Thank you Kathy. It's harder to see in this close-up but the striped part curling around the face is actually an Egyptian headdress somewhat like what the pharaohs wore.
