Reception House of Reykjavik City Council

This was once a privately owned house but was eventually bought by the City Council. Most high ranking politicians and dignitaries are brought here for their high powered meetings. It is particularly famous as the meeting place of the super powers in 1986 when Gorbachev and Reagan held a summit heralded as the beginning of the end of the Cold War
