Wow, panning is challenging! Some of you make it look so easy! I thought, how easy, just go to the beach and shoot some birds flying by! Ha! I think this is shot #320!

Haha! Yep, panning is fun and the moment when you check the view and see a crisp image makes it all worth while! This is a great photo, love all the rushing water below the perfectly in focus bird!
I like the way tge bird is moving above the horizon and sea reveals direction of flight. #320 is way too many shots. Just imagine if you were working with film.
I know just how difficult panning is, I tried it with my son karting, and managed to get just one passable shot! This is a wonderful shot, the b&w makes the bird stand out more too!
Well this is just fantastic, #320 or not! It certainly was difficult, although maybe if I'd tried 320 I might have finally worked it out. I found knowing the speed difficult because you can't watch the object. Anyway as you said, we can move on! I'm faving your shot too
lol, 320 shots, this is great, the first 319 obviously taught you something (althou be it slowly, lol ;) sorry thats just cheeky, notice i am not taking part this time! :) )
Awesome job!! The last panning shot I did I had my son riding in a circular pattern around me. I'm betting the bird didn't follow direction quite as well. :)
