It was such a beautiful day today! I took a little drive out to Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach. This pier is lined with little huts that you can rent out. What a view! You get your own private patio that looks over the edge of the pier! I have a shot of this pier from last years project and thought its about time I shot it again!
I tried a little street photography and got busted by this long bearded Santa Clause looking dude! I got the bird and he threw his coke at me! Good thing, I was really thirsty! :o)
Yipes! (to your story, not your picture- love the picture!) That's what scares me about street photography and the reason I always do it with a reeeeallly good zoom lens, lol!

@istacy1011 Lol! At first I went straight at him with my 50mm and he caught me with the bird right away! I thought I would be a little more sneaky, after I took some pics of the pier, and shoot from the hip but he heard the shutter going crazy! Too funny! But he was such a great subject! too bad all my shots were horrible!
This is fantastic. I love the dof. As for your street photography experience-- I'm always so afraid that will happen to me! I was out of town today and I saw soooo many interesting people I wanted to shoot, but I was to afraid to take out my camera.

@melody2289 I love the excitement of street photography! This was the first time it ever went that far! He was a homeless guy talking to himself. Maybe he thought he was still back in Vietnam! :o)

Yikes! You don't want to piss off Santa Claus! I love your beach shots - if I lived in your area, I'd be there all the time. The water has a soothing effect on me - I can almost feel my blood pressure drop as I gaze at it. Our lake has a similar effect.

Love your dof and focus on the sand with a hint of the view beyond... looks like a great spot to have a seat and take it all in! Too bad about the cranky Santa though!!!
YIKES! i didnt know Santa was so mean!!! lol. It is stories like that that make me scared to try street photography! lol. But lucky for me i guess, in a small town, there isnt to many exciting people on the streets. haha.
