Keeping warm in our house comes in three stages, you get warm filling the woodshed, and again, as now, loading wheelbarrows full up to the house and finally as you enjoy the wood stove.
This is the only house I have lived in without mold growing in the closets and I thank the wood heat for keeping the humidity down.
Love this photo and your comment, Dixie. I can feel the winter coming in this scene. Beautiful pof and color. We had a safe trip to Michigan and have begun unpacking. Had a "warm" welcome of snow this a.m. :) Happy to be back on 365 . . much catching up to do!
Beautiful shot! Love the framing. I have been remembering your little wood poem as I lug the logs into the house. I must remember to have my husband fix the tire on the wheelbarrow because I definitely won't be able to do that all winter! Lovely.
