This picture is an old one, but one of my favorites. I need to get out and shoot some more, or just move away from the computer. Running the book giveaway is proving hazardous to the rest of my life and I'm glad it is only 5 days. Then bring on March, I'm ready for some lamb like weather. My wood stove and thin roof are not keeping this house warm. I'm tired of being cold, again, moving my body away from the keyboard would help. I'm substitute teaching 4th graders today, but only a half day, from 11 to 3.
This is a beauty, Dixie. I can see why it's a favorite of yours . . beautiful colors and textures. Is the lake really Dead?!! I know how you feel about the cold. I'm so looking forward for some warmth again. Soon.
No, not really a dead lake, but water is deep, cold and filled with reeds and vines and a legendary monster of the Yurok people. I think it is more a reference to your chance if you end up in it. Look at Google Maps at: Dead Lake, Crescent City, Del Norte, CA
