My brothers. The one who is the middle child manages several large farms and ranches across the country. The one who is the youngest has worked at Walmart since he was 15 and is now 38. He had to move to Virginia when my Mom could no longer take care of the two of them on her own and learning his new job of feeding the horses, chickens cows and longhorn bulls isn't hard for him. What is hard is realizing he won't be going back after this extended vacation. Two months later he still introduces himself as "I am Lance Miller from Cody, Wyoming. I work at Walmart."
I guess it will take time for the reality of it all to settle in. I hope by the time it does, he truly loves his new job and wants to stay in his own way. What a blessing that your brother could give him a new job when it was necessary for your mother to move there.
