for most of my life, it has been about what music was playing. My Dad singing, the old record albums, the music in the background making a soundtrack to my life. I still have a lot of vinyl. I love the songs, and a lot of what is on my ipod is similar to what is in the vinyl, but modern stuff goes in there too. Married to a music teacher, and Mom to teo young men has expanded my tastes, but it all began for me with my Dad singing and with Perer Cottontail songs for Easter. My husband played Tevye his senior year at University and Cat Stevens was the soundtrack to out first year together. The Beatles are just everywhere.
three good things
1. songs that make you feel
2. music that carries memories
3. discovering new favorites
Lovely story. Fiddler on the Roof is a huge favorite of mine. You have a nice collection of vinyls accompanied by great family memories. My dad also loved music. I finally got rid of all my vinyls a few years ago----just no more room here :-)
