Not limes-walnuts

When I first saw this tree 22 years ago I thought they were limes. Digging your nails in the green pulp means that twelve hours later your fingers and nails are stained orangish brown

It's that time of year. It's like a war zone whenever I have to go under my walnut tree to take out the trash.

@stephomy do yo7 ever process and use them? I never really do much with them even though I buy walnuts all year round.

Nice composition. We had a walnut tree in our yard when I was young. I do remember those dark stains.

@pandorasecho I tried one year, but they were a bust. The nuts were paper thin. It seems like my climate is good for growing the tree, but not so much the nuts.

A lovely close up shot. My great aunt used to make pickled walnuts. They were delicious 😋
