Yesterday a kids size pink recliner I had ordered showed up and I got it assembled. The girl, who has been sleeping until nearly noon, came down at 7:30 and climbed in it to watch “finding Nemo”. Grandpa walked over and kissed her and tickled her a bit and she grouches, “hey grandpa, I told you to wake me up at 8:30”
He said, “I was going to come up and tickle you awake at 8:30 but it’s only 7.30”
In an outraged voice she declared, “I meant 8::30 in the morning!”
I looked around at the dim light through the windows and listened to rain battering the roof and realized she thought it was so dark that she must have slept all day. And thought she had missed her zoom meeting with the kindergarten.
Now the girl who never naps suddenly said, “I have to get out of this cozy chair. It’s a trap.” And promptly fell asleep. 2 pm then
