Thankful for fresh water

No doubt. My grandma lived in her home until 1985 and never had running water. My parents lived next door but she hated their “city water” and even though she had a well, it was too alkaline to drink, so she trucked barrels of water, thirty miles from her cousins farm and kept a jug in the “icebox” and a redwing fifty gallon crock in the living room. She often melted snow on her wood and coal burning cookstove for cleaning.
Your grandma never stopped working it sounds! We need to be grateful for what we take for granted!
