I guess the unifying thread is these were all mysteries. I’d just never read a Hardy Boys book but had loved the TV show back in High School. A friend gave me the book about ghosts and modern mysteries in Appalachia because it reminded her of my Oregon Trail novel, and I loved discovering that it was part of a series of the stories behind ballads. The Vincent Graves book is fun Urban fantasy about a paranormal investigator who wakes up in the body of recently murdered people and has to solve their murder in a set time.
Great selection of mystery books. I read all of the Hardy Boys books, along with all the Nancy Drew books in grade school.

I was trying to remember the name Hardy Boys and there it is! I'm a Famous Five aficionado and occasionally still pull one out!

I was never much into reading mysteries- although when I worked in the Children's library I read a bunch of Nancy Drew books just to get an idea of what the children liked about them. However, I faithfully watched Murder She Wrote all those years it was on, and still enjoy a rerun or two!
