Konica FS1 by pcoulson

Konica FS1

Desktop subject today purchased this 35mm camera 30 years ago, its still in full working order and I've loaded a new film in it to play with in the next few days.
The Konica FS-1 is a Konica AR bayonet mount camera and was known as the first 35mm SLR with built-in motor drive. full-featured SLR with Gallium Arsenide Phosphour TTL light meter, the viewfinder contains LED indications for the meter settings, it uses a Shutter-priority auto-exposure system, automatic film load and rewind, electronic shutter has speeds from 2s to 1/1000 and Bulb.
Have fun.

A, a great old camera. Reminds me of my old Nikon FM that I thought was the cat's meow because it had LED indicators in the viewfinder to help meter the shot. Looking forward to seeing your film shots. I picked up an old Rolliflex recently with a similar intention.

@stray_shooter Thanks for your great comment Ron, the FS1 was streets ahead at the time purchased, I was in Bradford yesterday giving it a tryout, btw. all my modern digital Sony Alpha lens fit and operate all the metering, focus and LED's correctly, not surprising as Sony bought the Konica-Minolta SLR company in 2006 and early Sony cameras were in fact designed using the Minolta designed A mount cameras:)
