Lake Windermere by pcoulson

Lake Windermere

Lake Windermere in the English Lake District with very high water levels walkway to these jetties underwater.
A beautiful photo of the lake with the mountains in the background and the clouds overhead. (Amazing about the flooded jetties!) Fav

Lovely scene. I don't think I have ever been to Lake Windermere without encountering rain.

@365projectorgheatherb Thank you Heather for both your lovely comment and Fav, we had gales and unusually heavy rainfall Sunday and Monday, roads closed because of flooding, with water running of the hills to the lakes the water is much higher than normal:)

I admit the one reason I am not a huge fan of this area is the excess of water everywhere often in the form of rain! A beautiful scene!

We have only ever been here the one time - and it rained. We actually got caught out in it and were soaked. I don't recall seeing power boats bon it back then
