Dry Orchids by pcoulson

Dry Orchids

We had a pracitical night at the camera club last night on macro photography, one of the ladies brought along dry flowers, leaves and twigs, I borrowed a couple of dry Orchid flowers and setup them up in my space with a constant light at the side and rear and metered for the light and used manual focus, camera mounted on a tripod using cable trigger to reduce movement on the camera.
Well done Peter, they look fabulous and very wabi sabi.

Fabulous lighting, focus, detail! And as Diana @ludwigsdiana said, "very wabi sabi" (A new concept to me, thanks to Diana). Thank you for explaining your process to us, Peter. Fav

@365projectorgheatherb Thank you so much Heather for both your wonderful comment and Fav, I thought I knew what wabi sabi meant, beauty in old or tarnished things After looking it up I was almost correct Thanks also to Diana @ludwigsdiana for the reference:)
