What is this on one of my young Oak trees,
Clue:- Its not a natural part of the tree
will post answer tomorrow
Beautiful close up. Love the detail. I think it is oak apple or oak gall caused by some sort of wasp I believe.

Ah, I think I'll pass on the Quiz because I have no idea haha! All I know is that this is a beautiful shot of whatever they are! :)

Oak Galls are abnormal growths caused when a insets or mite lays their eggs on the tree, the eggs develop inside the galls, these cause no harm to the tree so are just left alone,
