St George's Lighthouse Ruins

...Booderee National Park.

An eerie place where the lighthouse was built on a headland that has a head looking like a dragon. The light was built in the wrong place and caused wrecks. The keeper's families suffered many tragedies including children falling off cliffs and illnesses. One keeper was eaten by sharks whilst fishing for them to supplement their income.

Taken using Toyo 45CF field camera with Nikkor-SW 75mm lens on Rollei ATO 2.1 25ASA film and stand developed with Adonal (1:200) for 60 mins. A high contrast film designed for photographing documents, not landscapes, but tonality is brought out through stand development.
Great B&W shot.

What a sad story. The light house here in San Diego had to be moved too. It was also in the wrong place
