Bizzare !

My friend and I visited the nearby town of Scunthorpe today and were bemused to find the rails outside the town's libary adorned with hand knitted 'rail covers'. I have googled this phenomenon but to no avail so am no wiser!

i guess it's taking hold in the UK, but i saw something about it in NY city too
