Books Read in October 2023

The Rose Petal Beach by Dorothy Koomson
Not read any of her books for a while and had forgotten how good they are, a real page turner of a story!

The Sleeping and The Dead by Ann Cleaves
A thoroughly enjoyable stand alone detective mystery. When I came to add this to my read list I found I'd read it before but couldn't remember it at all, then I forgot to include it in my photo!

Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter
A good storyline but too many Americanisms in the way it was written for my taste.

The Secrets of De Courcy Square
A nice gentle read. The fact it featured an older central character and no tearooms or bookshops made a pleasant change.

Suspects by Lesley Pearse
Unputdownable whodunnit, read over a couple of days... Intriguing but effortless read.
I have read books by both Karin Slaughter (great name) and Lesley Pearse but not those two. I must look out for Suspects, it sounds great

@kjarn yes it's perfect for a thriller writer! Suspects was such an effortless read and yet a gripping storyline, I was lucky enough to find it in a charity shop - 3 for £2 Bargain! 😊
