penguin-in-waiting

The penguin waited and watched me; I waited and watched the penguin; the penguin etc etc. I felt sure it would come out eventually, but after what seemed rather a long wait, it went back inside.

Probably not surprising as the keeper told us that there were unhatched eggs as well as chicks indoors.

Luckily I took a couple of shots while I was waiting.

Great capture, the feet are very big in proportion to the rest of the body, must make them brilliant swimmers.

They do seem to be good swimmers but had never noticed the relatively large size of their feet until you mentioned it.
