Clare - moments in her life (28.12.1974 to 5.5.2022)
While selecting photos for the order of service for our daughter's funeral, also for her MuchLoved tribute page, I thought to make a collage of my favourites and then, after some deliberation, I thought to include it here on 365.
My own passion for photography and my 365 friends are part of my daily routine both of which help, especially now, to keep me on track - and I am very grateful.
Clare had a short life but, mindful of her own significant personal challenges, she supported others as best she could, lived life to the full, worked hard, had fun.........
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Such a lovely collage of Clare , A delightful tribute and a way to remember all those precious moments , and so good to be able to share this with friends - - take care xx
What an emotional collage this must have been to put together. I do hope you are doing ok. Got your email and will reply in a couple of days. I am having a busy week.
How lovely for you to feel you could post them here Hazel. I don't know what happened but my thoughts are with you. I regularly wear the earrings I bought from her via you.
My heart is with you and Ray, Hazel; I'm so sorry sorry to read of your loss. You and I are the same age with children of the same age, so I empathize with you as only another mother can. You've been brave to share this, but you know what a pillar you are in this loving community. My prayers for you and Ray.
Oh, Hazel, I am so sorry to read of the loss of your precious daughter. I had no idea. What a lovely collage of beautiful, loving images of her to help you through the difficult times. Deepest condolences.
A sincere thank you to everyone for such a lovely and empathetic response to my post of this collage of Clare and narrative. It has been a shock because although Clare had mental health troubles for a long time, we did not know until a few weeks before she died that these had escalated so much and that she had been unable to work and had already spent time on the psychiatric ward. She lived in Glasgow so was able to keep the situation from us presumably to spare us worry. Her many friends and colleagues have been overwhelmingly helpful. It all seems surreal and our only consolation is that Clare is free from emotional pain and suffering. I found that making the collage was helpful. Thank you all again.
Julie, thank you for your lovely comments. I'm quite surprised, in restrospect, at what I wrote here and it speaks volumes that I have had such a lovely response from you and 365 friends.

I think that is all any of us can do no matter how long or short our lives may be.
