The birds just stopped coming to the feeder so we took it down. Then one day, weeks later, the robin appeared again looking hopeful. Next we had severe frost so put out some seed on a board on the patio table. And then.....soggy seed.
I console myself that the neighbours are feeding them.
A sweet little fellow and so nicely captured. The birds around here are mostly happy to eat off felt surfaces like this even if the seeds get a little soggy. It is messy though, and it also makes the seeds more accessible to other feeders like mice and rats.
