The barbed wire in the photo is necessary around these old mines. The mapping of the shafts under the mines is no longer available for many of them and several have caved in close to the mines. I feel it adds to the look of abandonment and the fact that people should be leary around these sights.

Another fantastic picture of these rusty beauties. The metal pieces look rather like a patch-work quilt. The white sky and snow on the roof really make the features of the structure stand out.
Fabulous! I'm quite afraid I would be one of those numbskulls who ignored the wire fence in hopes of getting a great image. But I would do my best to be careful though! This is fantastic
