I've been driving around the back roads of Northern Ontario in search of snowy Owls that I see posted by other 365er's and have yet to see one! So Instead of posting a large white snowy, I'm posting the smallest bird who regularly visits our feeder, smaller than a chickadee, the common redpoll. He maybe small but as you can see in this photo he still has attitude.
Thank you for your comments on yesterday's minimalist shot "Red on White".
First I hit the Fav - then I'll comment! He's adorable - love how he's fluffed up - you really got super detail with great lighting. Yes, he does seem to have some attitude - size is no bother to him! Like the use of the framing on this one.
Sweet! I too, have never seen an owl in person, although I've even gone to an owl sanctuary. Pretty sure they were sitting in the treetops chuckling to themselves as we walked by.
I like his attitude. For snowy owls posts and silos seem to be a good place to find them. The one I saw in a field was too far away for a decent capture w/ my 200mm lens. It looked like two snowballs, bottom one larger than the top.
