Wonderful sunrise shot....something I don't get to see very often!!! Glad you are enjoying your WA lens....something you might want to do is possibly get a little closer to your foreground object to give a sense of perspective since everything appears to be so far away.
Lovely wide angle image. Beautiful to have captured the sunrise so well. This is a good example of what I was talking about re lighting and a graduated filter in post processing. To get the sunrise right (which you did), the foreground -- which looks intriguing with the boat/kayak -- is a bit dark so it's harder to make out the outline of the boat/rocks, etc. In addition to getting closer to it when photographing, as Osia suggested, in post processing, you can lighten the foreground only, and avoid blowing out the area nearest the sun. Aren't new lenses fun???
@taffy Yes I'm loving this lens and the perspective. I can't wait to try out the graduated filter in post processing, lighting up the foreground without blowing the sky out would have worked nicely. The object in the foreground is actually a big log, hard to see.
Thanks for the critique Taffy.
Sometime I will have to get you to explain how you get the CP filter effect in LR.
