My Brother-in-Law, in Northern Ontario does this! Seems to involve pushing a garden shed oonto the ice, drilling a hole in the floor, and angling string from it. Beer is generally involved. He's promised to take us if we can brave the cold one season. Nice shot.
A beautiful image Kathy. The ice looks like it could be a field instead of a frozen lake. I like the drag lines leading to the huts and the sky is so soft and beautiful!
@shepherdman Ha ha you have described this very well, but forgot a woodstove to stay warm! Where in Northern Ontario is your brother-in-law? Thanks for stopping by.
Fav. The fishermen must be very brave, or they make good money for their catches to stay there on the ice freezing just to catch 'some' fish. An amazing sight and capture.
Wonderful picture of the ice and fish huts. how to make people believe that it gets to warm in the hut that the fellows have to start undressing from the top. I remember my husband telling me this. I myself get catastrophic in small places like that.
