Strophariaceae Mushrooms

These mushrooms are often found on decaying plant matter, they caught my attention on this birch tree as I was hiking by!
On our hike we spotted some caves that had been used during the winter by the bears! So happy they weren’t hanging around when we went by! Lol

Great colour contrast between the tree bark and the mushrooms. Hmm you could have risked your life walking so close to the cave. Did you have a look inside?

@sangwann No we did not look inside the cave, from a distance it looked like a dark hole!
