One of my favorite outings during the holidays is to walk along the canals at night to see the beautifully decked out homes. Hundreds of people stroll the walkways and bridges, groups of carolers entertain passers by, party boats snake through the narrow waterways and each home is more awe inspiring than the next. Tonight wasn't nearly as crowded since it's a weeknight so it was easier to navigate and stop for pictures, Afterwards, my husband and I indulged in our favorite pumpkin cheesecake at a little cafe nearby. We may have to do this again before New Year's.

@panthora This is known as Naples, a section of Long Beach,Ca. Beautiful homes line the canals, each with its own boat dock. It's spectacular year-round but especially during the holidays.
@redy4et Thank you Elizabeth! I had never heard of it, and obviously never been there....if I didn't dread the traffic so much this time of year I would take a drive out there to check it out....look really lovely!
