A Norman Rockwell Christmas

I was walking through the mall, mostly to see the lights and decorations, when I passed the Santa House with the long lines of moms, dads and kids waiting to sit on Santa's lap. I convinced the guard to let me walk up front, but off to the side, to spy on Santa and the hullabaloo. It was such a beautiful setting--the lighting was awesome so I took the liberty of snagging a few quick shots of my own. It made me laugh because the tiny girl was crying in most of the photos. It reminded of the time I took my son to see Santa at about age 2 or 3. He was terrified of the jolly man, burst out crying and refused to sit on his lap. Come to think of it, my son was also afraid of Mickey Mouse and never dressed up for Halloween either.Well, in any case, it was fun to be a "fly on the wall" and get to share in the holiday excitement.
Beautiful shot of Santa and the little ones!

It's such a sweet scene and captures how kids vary in their reactions to the jolly red guy!

This is such a lovely rich scene. My son also refused to see Santa, and to this day (aged 13) will still not have a Santa photo! Great capture.
