Last week it was a hurricane off Baja; this week it's another hurricane-Norbert! We're not supposed to have them on the West Coast...strictly reserved for the East. Ha ha! Well, the waves may not have been as big but the swell and current gave us a wild ride today!
The only correction I made to this shot was to straighten out the horizon line which was on a huge tilt in the original because our boat was at almost a 45 degree angle to the water! I was hanging on to the safety line to keep my balance. Shooting on the water is incredibly challenging because everything is moving!
Wonderful capture of that swell and the choppy water. Yep, we aren't supposed to have them, but the hurricane coming up from Baja is supposed to give us rain overnight or tomorrow. WE HOPE SO! We need it so badly.
What a GREAT view! I love the way the sailboats dot the horizon, about to be invaded by the huge steamer or whatever. And the water movement really comes through.
