Fifteen miles of rugged coast on the northwest shore of Kauai. Utterly exhausted after riding 20-foot swells in a zodiac (inflatable boat) along this spectacular shoreline earlier today. Had one foot under a floor rope to stay grounded and both hands holding fast to the guide ropes as we tore through the water at what seemed like lightning speed. It was tricky keeping the camera protected and dry but a total thrill!
Whoa...I can feel myself sliding down to the "floor" of the zodiac. I am sure it was safe though. What a ride. I would be exhausted also. Lovely capture of this beautiful place!!
Oh you have done it by boat ! I would have loved ! We had decided to do by helicopter...had a blast too ! This NaPali coast is amazing...among the most beautiful things I've ever seen...
@landryta85 There was snorkeling on the south shore but on NaPali, we had 20-foot swells (can't tell from the photo) so it was a bit treacherous for even for the boat to be there. During the summer you can snorkel there though.
