Yesterday we set sail from the marina about noon with a clear blue sky and tons of sun but almost as soon as we reached the outer harbor, the fog blew in. We changed course a number of times, waiting for the low hanging clouds to blow inland but eventually conceded defeat and headed in. ( I don't like to sail when I can't see the shore or the other boats). As we were coming into the bay, I turned around to see a parade of boats following closely behind us. All the smart seafarers made the same decision we had. Always better to be safe than sorry.
