Toured the wine cave of a family-owned vineyard in Napa Valley packed with 4,000 barrels of wine. Each barrel contains enough for 300 bottles. The whites are fermented for 3-12 months; reds for up to 2 years. Our tour guide said a good percentage of the wine evaporates through the oak barrels into the cave-- believe me when I say being inside the cave is intoxicating!

Must have felt like wine when you came out. This is an interesting shot. That is a lot of barrels and a lot of wine.. Too bad so much of it evaporates. Geez! Wasted.
