St. Phillip's Graveyard

St. Phillips Episcopal Church, established in Charleston in 1680, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Many famous people are buried here in the churchyard, including John C. Calhoun, Vice President under President Andrew Jackson, and a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
The church still has an active congregation. We attended an evening concert there which featured the Canterbury Cathedral Choir of England. They sang like angels.
I've got music from that Choir and they are just wonderful! This is a lovely look at the old churchyard!

If you ever go back, you must visit Magnolia Cemetery. It is just wonderful and you will wear yourself out taking pictures!
