So excited with my first shots of my backyard hummingbird who I've been trying to capture for ages. He feeds regularly right outside my kitchen window but when I make a move to take his picture, he rapidly flies away. Today it was raining (it does occasionally rain in Calif.) so I was working inside on my computer for about an hour and every 5 minutes or so the hummer came by for a snack and I finally caught him in action! This was taken through the dirty window in the rain so it's not the sharpest but at least his head's in focus. I'm thrilled! There were a number of good shots so I'm posting a second one too.
