Great fun on a hot day! Water taxi to downtown, lunch at a harbor side cafe where there was actually a cool breeze! Then back again in the late afternoon.
One way to beat the heat. The island in the background is an oil drilling installation about a quarter mile off shore.
That looks suspiciously like the island at the end of the pier at Mussel Shoals....for the longest time I used to think that there was an exclusive resort hotel out there! I bet it was nice to feel the breeze on the boat!
That island has palms and rocky beach sides! and as @taffy says - no-one would know there is serious drilling going on here! Now that flag - who's is it? Must be American!
