And believe me, I didn't! The odd thing about most all the iguanas, birds and other animals we encountered in the Galapagos Islands is that they didn't move out of the way when we approached.
Because they have no natural predators, a few humans walking around doesn't phase them. Even though we visitors were required to stick to the inland pathways on hikes and nature walks, I often
found myself taking little detours to avoid stepping or tripping on a reptile.
I had to smile -- coming back from there, I found I was so annoyed at the birds and animals I would try to photograph here because they 'don't hold still' like they do in the Galapagos! It has to be the best place to photograph wildlife anywhere! I love the personality in this one.
@redy4et and @taffy That is so funny! I guess I had an inkling, but no idea, really, that they were akin to housepets! Elizabeth, this is a wonderful-looking iguana! He's straight out of a science fiction movie, or a throwback to the dinosaurs! It's like looking through a pinhole back in time!
places the birds and animals fly or run away just as I'm about take my shot.
