At one point during our Tahoe road trip, we took a bumpy side road that led us 13 miles inland to Bodie State Historic Park. It's one of the best examples of a wild west ghost town from the 1850s. I found the place quite fascinating so I'm going to post a series of Bodie shots this coming week. I edited this one in b &w but will post the original in my extras album. It was actually a clear day with beautiful clouds and blue sky and patches snow all around.
Oh, I do like the b&w version a ton! The textures, slats, form all pop so much more in this, probably because there's no color to distract. Both are interesting in their own right, but this is my preferred final version.
How funny and what a great image for that album cover!
