That's what I heard a tour guide say as I walked by this pre-Civil War mansion in the historic district of Beaufort, SC. I was on my own self-guided walking tour through the picturesque town which was used as a location for the movies Forest Gump, Prince of Tides and Big Chill.
I love it when people talk about the number of fireplaces. Chimneys and windows were such a sign of wealth. Now it is the number of bathrooms! Looks a glorious house.
I loved Beaufort, SC when I was there in 2014, The business district reminded me of Pacific Palisades back in the 1960's where I lived...charming place! :) I saw this home as well from the sidewalk. Fav.
