This hummer is a regular visitor to our fountain, especially now that the summer temperatures are hitting the low 80s. If the bird is in the water, it's hard to see until it pops its head up over the rim and then bam, it's flown away at warp speed.
I have been changing my feeder every other day because of the heat. No hummer sightings yet. It's so disappointing but I'll keep changing the feeder and waiting....
jealous jealous jealous -- now I've resorted to ordering some hanging baskets of flowers that supposedly attract hummingbirds. I cleaned out the feeder again this morning -- but not a bird in sight. What a beautiful capture in color, clarity and pose.
