When I was a kid there was a popular cartoon series on TV featuring two characters: the Road Runner and Wile Coyote. The coyote was always attempting to catch the road runner but no matter what he tried, his slapstick antics always backfired and the road runner got away every time. The road runner pictured here strolled casually across my patio the other morning - so slowly in fact that I doubt this one would have succeeded in out running the coyote this day.
oh yes, I love seeing real ones as we don't have them here and I was fascinated as a child wondering what a real one looked like (kids now would just google it 🤣)
