I was just hanging out, watching the cormorants in the pond when my new buddy, the roadrunner from yesterday, sauntered across the fence and perched about 4 feet away from me, ready for his portrait session. I read that native Americans believed roadrunners were medicine birds and could protect against evil spirits. He got my full attention and easily gained the top spot for today's post.
OMG, I am so fascinated by these birds, truly one of my most favorite! How awesome that you got to not only see this once, but twice AND get a nice photo--super jealous.
