This morning I got a closer look at the hummer I've been photographing frequently since early October. I did some research and have now discovered that Jack is a female Costa's hummingbird. I read that females are green and white while males are deep purple so I'm pretty sure she is a she. Hence the moniker going forward is Cactus Jackie.
