It poured down all day and we ended up sat with Dave's parents watching the entire boat parade thingy, from 1pm to 6:30pm! We had to get out and have a bit of time to ourselves so we went into Clitheroe and had a meal at La Vespa. This was the starter - a huge (didn't expect it to be a share size!) garlic bread for me as there wasn't much else I could have. I still managed my pizza and dessert but I was stuffed afterwards. It was a really nice place and the staff were great but the food was not the best - the bread was quite dry and the pizza really lacked flavour. It was worth it for a bit of 'time off' from the parents though.
