I had been thinking about 'colourful' for a little while, then had to pop out to take Dave to the garage to pick up his car after an MOT. I hoped to snap something between there and home but didn't find anything that really jumped out at me. Back home, I was sat in the car on the drive, thinking about taking a little walk to photograph fly agaric mushrooms or autumn colour. I just happened to turn to the left and spotted this rainbow-y cobweb in the hedge - perfect timing to get the sunlight on it!

Thanks! I heard on radio 4 early this morning that the midlands would be the best spot for weather today. We've had alternating blue sky/sunshine and showers all day and more dry than wet for a change!
This is incredible! I can never do justice to spider's webs and they always seem to be in inaccessible places with bad light (or perhaps I just can't see if I haven't got my glasses on!!)
